Since my Xbox is now able to stream Netflix i decided to get it and by the way i highly recommend it, Netflix is so great. Ive watched tons of streaming movies and I get movies back and forth pretty fast, even better with 2+ dvds at a time plan. Unlimited Streaming. Anyways...
Since I'm now able to have easy access to thousands of anime episodes/films instead of buying them or seeing them on Adult Swim I'm looking for some masterpieces. So first off any of you big fans of Anime? If not highly recommend the incredibly creative worlds those crazy bastards come up with. IF anything at least enjoy all of Miyazakis films. (Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, (ESPECIALLY SPIRITED AWAY) Howl's Moving Castle, and Castle in the Sky plus some others)
So in other words im just curious if any of you are big fans (though im sure at least one of you are those hardcore fans who HATE english dubbed anime but w/e i dont like to read, even though you have to in the great movie Paprika) And if you can highly reccomend any series or w/e. I'm currently watching a few good ones on stream and i have Hellsing coming my way as well as 2 Armitages and Appleseed. I've recently seen like Paprikia, Akira, Read or Die, been watching Gunsword etc.

The only good anime I've ever seen was ghost in the shell and the gundam series. Both had pretty interesting plots.
Everything else seemed like borderline child porn, not my thing.

Yeah i have seen a lot of those. But Miang I'd highly reccomend any movie by Miyazaki, no borderline child porn in those indefinetly. Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, etc are all great films, truly creative worlds.

Anime is a hobby for me on deployments, so listen up, fag fag:
Perfect Blue: A hitchcock psycho thriller anime.
Paranoia Agent: Same writer as Perfect Blue; a short series about stress related suicide in Japan.
Samurai Champloo: Good sword work anime with awesome style.
Elfen Leid: Naked teenage girl with the telekentic powers to rip people into shreds. Can also take a Barret Light .50 sniper round to the head and suffer a minor headache.
Berserk: Fucking awesome.
Graveyard of the Fire Flies: Will make you want to kill yourself.
Barefoot Gen: This movie is impossible to find, it was the predecessor to Graveyard, but much more graphic, and even more depressing. They're both about the aftermath of the atmoic bomb droppings.
Macross Plus: Great movie set in the Robotech/Macross world about a self-actualizing computer, and unmanned aircraft.
Vampire Hunter D/Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust: If you haven't seen this, you're retarded.
Fist of the North Star: Oldschool, and awesome.
Claymore: Another one on the same note as Berserk.
Noir: Teenage girls who are hired assasins. Just awesome.
Rahxephon: One of the writers of the Xenogears story line did this semi-emo, hopeless romantic Mecha anime. It's not the best series ever, but a must for anyone who wants another glimpse of the awesomeness of Xenogears.
Kino's Journey: One of the best anime series I've seen. It's Gulliver's travels, but with moral dillema's presented instead of political issues. You'll really enjoy it if you like Mizazaki's stuff.
Ninja Scroll: Ofcourse.
Samurai X, Reflections: The series doesn't hold a candle to this movie, which portrays Kenshin in his days as assassin of imperial soldiers and samurais. Incredibly bloody. The smell of blood is as common as the smell of my plums.
That's about all I can think of for now.
If I come up with more, I'll post, faggot.

Appreciated Fort, i just saw Ninja Scroll last night b4 i saw the post, is pretty good. I got a few of those on the way but I'll look into the others. Are you a fan of the huge robot themed animes? (Theres a ton obviously) If so, GunSword is a pretty good show so far. I tried watching Paranoia Agent while it was on Adult swim and really it just didn't seem that great. But Samurai Champloo is indeed pretty awesome.
Thanks,

I found every one of those on Netflix except there was no Samurai X, Reflections, only Samurai X and Samurai X directors cut.

Ninja scroll sucked, getting raped is not a fighting style.

Lol, yeah i thought that was pretty lame. It wasn't too bad of a movie, it had its parts. I just watched Gundam: The Endless Waltz but fell asleep constantly cuz it was pretty boring and it was a re-used story many times. :( (War ends, Peace everywhere, DBags rise to take power)

Princess Mononoke is where it's at, or was at least.

Paranoia Agent blows ass until about the 8th episode, and then you start to realize what's going on, and how thick of a sarcastic satire the series is about suicide in Japan. With that in mind, it's pretty good. By itself, it sucks ass.
I thought another one: Vampire Princess Miyu: This one made me want to start touching myself. I don't know what it was about it. It's very 'forbidden'. ENJOY.

o.O Btw Fort or anyone, have you watched Afro Samurai? It's a pretty er unique Anime and I'd guess a few people would be haters on it but it's pretty badass, very stylish blood battles :P.

The only thing going for Afro Samurai is the voice is mother fuckin' Nick Fury, who can't stop yelling, cuz that's how he talks.
Samurai Champloo is much better, trust me, but you need to find that Samurai X movie, because it's the best. It's the smell of my plums.
Also, cocks.

Yeah I'm going to rewatch Trigun, seen all of Desert Punk, Ive started Hellsing, is Blood that one with the girl and that sword that she cuts herself with? Cuz that was pretty lame. And Fort i saw all the episodes of Samurai Champloo already ;)

Outlaw Star isn't too bad, Hellsing rocks and everyone has overlooked Cowboy Bebop. Last one is my fave of the group. Wolfs Rain wasn't bad, but was tough to keep things straight on occasion, but still pretty good overall.
