Torchlight $19.99

So I've been playing this game for about 30 minutes and it's quite addicting. It's basically a Diablo-esque game, just hack and slash/collect loots but it's still fun. The best part is it's only $19.99 through Steam. I actually bought it on sale for $9.99 this afternoon but the sale seems to have ended already. You get a lot of bang for your buck out of this though and it might be worth a try if you're finding yourself bored while waiting for more content.

I also bought this game at half price a few days ago when i was bored. Basically its a modern day Diablo, so if you liked diablo you'll like this. One of the producers i think is actually from Diablo and you get to listen to all the Diablo music again too.

Apparently, although its only single player now, they intend to make it into a free mmo if you already own the game in the distant future. For the 10 bucks i payed I feel like im getting my moneys worth.

It's the same team that was working on the original Hellgate: London, sans Bill Roper who probably took a few people with him to work on Champion's Online. The team also made a free game that tested Hellgate's netcode called 'Mythos' which had a very similar art style, although most likely at a much lower resolution.

For those who haven't picked the game up and don't want to pay $20, Direct2Drive will have it on sale tomorrow (12/23/09) for most likely the same price as Steam had it on sale, $9.99.
