So I'm trying to look up *CURRENT* information on runes for different heroes and it's tough to search for because half of the guides I look at are pretty out-dated.
Is there a discussion on runes that is up-to-date?
For example - attack power verse crit strike chance verse crit strike damage verse armor penetration verse attack speed. Which yields more damage for a physical player and more importantly, why? And does it vary based on the hero? Like, will Sivir scale better with armor pen and Poppy scale better with crit strike damage?
Obviously armor penetration is going to be different based on the team you're fighting, but the other stats don't require a variable outside of your own character.
Also, I wanted to know if perhaps it is better to make a more balanced rune book. What I mean is, marks tend to be primarily physical damage, where as glyphs tend to be primarily magic damage and mana, and seals tend to be more defensive. A mark will give you a lot more physical damage than a glyph, so maybe I'm thinking for my glyphs, I should focus more on some other stat? Currently, my marks give me like 0.83% crit and my glyphs give like 0.23% crit for the same price. So perhaps I could change my glyphs, which would give me less crit, but perhaps be more advantageous somewhere else? Like magic resist or something?

You can always try LoL's forums and start up asking questions there, avoid the obvious trolls and kiddies and you'll get some pretty good advice.
As far as stacking stats go, they are very dependent on the characters you play, i'll use sivir for example:
Sivir can really only go 2 or 3 viable ways (Ability power, attack damage, and support/hybrid) now if you wanted to build I rune page for one of these roles, I would just go straight up one alley (I.E. Attack Damage runes mostly) this is because as of now runes don't matter a whole lot late game, and they matter mostly for early kills to get you fed.
So lets say you like having a boomerang cleave their team down to 25%, start getting marks/runes/quintessences for ability power so that very early game, you hit moderately harder than everyone else, allowing your self better chance of scoring ganks and winning.
Having a balanced rune page would counter act this heavily (I would think) because you would just have slightly better stats overall, rather than owning heavily in one area.

Pick Ashe, lane middle, play defensively. The game is fairly self explanatory, and I think you should get it pretty easy. But the best advice I could give you is to just not let the enemy get your towers, and the opportunity to gank someone will come. Other than that just plain experience is the easiest way to get better.

Gosh Morent you just don't know how2p. It's all about Fiddlestix and crowstorming them all to death a bunch and silencing a bunch.

Poppy is an amazing gank hero. It's pretty important for you to just level up and get his abilities leveled. He's a fairly difficult hero to play well though. I still need to work on my poppy skills because I usually end up dying after killing someone.
I also read a jungle poppy guide. Make sure you have rally as one of your spells. Basically, you get vampiric scepter as your first item. Go to a lane and get up to level 4 with 2 points in devastate, 1 point in paragon, and 1 point in heroic charge. Then go to the golem and get that buff, using rally when you get down to about half hp or so. Once you kill the golem, if you have enough hp, go kill the creep close by him, if not, B out real quick to refill your hp, start building toward Sheen if you can, and then go around killing all the neutral creep. When your golem buff starts to run out, go up to the enemy forest and kill their golem. You will be able to kill the lizard too, although I usually wait until my rally comes up to kill him. Then once you have the lizard buff. Go gank someone. You should be level 6 so don't be afraid to tower dive with your ultimate.
If you don't want to jungle, don't level up devastate first. Prioritize heroic charge, devastate, paragon.

I've been playing this on and off, we should add each other. Sucks when you get ultra-shitty teams (I'm just very-shitty).

im with you miang. more often than not the reason my team loses is because 1 or 2 people quit in the beginning and its 3v5.
i still play all the way through though.

The new champion, Mordekaiser, is really good. I wouldn't say OP, but he's definitely a strong hero. It's like the more damage he does, the higher his energy shield gets, which makes him a tank/dps, which I like because most tanks are usually tank/support. He's still pretty easy to gank with a mixture of stun/slow because you can burn off his shield while he's stunned and then exhaust or use some kind of slow ability so that he can't get away.
I laned against him in the mid and he was pretty much impossible to kill for Sivir. I would boomerang blade away most of his shield and then try to harass him as much as possible but when the next wave of creep came he would just use that mace of spades (or whatever the name is) to refill his shield and at the same time do damage to me if I was too close.

Add Iglol!
Mordekaiser is really annoying for fiddle early game cause of his shield but mid-late he's pretty chump for me to take on. I can always at least get away from him because he has no charge or stuns while I just fear a bunch and book it.

Mordekaiser is probably the best melee harasser in the game, I can lane solo with ashe and not have to port a lot, I love it.
Though he is absolutely horrid at chasing people down.

The new Jax is awesomely (or horribly) overpowered now. 5 extra health per damage that he gets. 3 extra health for every ability power he gets. I've seen Lomo get over 4k health on him before the end of a game with only one item that actually gives health.

nope 169 =/= 69. You either get 69 and stop or you work your way up to 420 and retire
