"If you want to save time, let's get this out in the open right now -- Alpha Protocol isn't very good. In fact, it's absolutely dreadful and it should not have been released in the state it's in. It looks and feels every bit like a game that has been subjected to patches, fixes and panicked over-development, yet still managed to hit its (perpetually postponed) deadline without being finished. Alpha Protocol is a mess, and that's putting it kindly."

Ouch?

Yea, I won't be paying for it. If I end up with a copy, I'll fuck around with it I guess.

I actually played this for a few hours Tuesday at a friends. The thing that really annoyed me is that you can only hotkey one talented ability at a time (so you have melee (E), fire weapon (Mouse 1), and special ability(Q). The only way to use special abilities in rapid succession is to access the menu and select the next ability you want to use which really disrupts the flow of game play. The character interaction dialog is like Mass Effect 2, which I really enjoyed. I guess you get different dialog options depending on class, difficulty, and "rep" with said person/faction. It gives you a run down after each mission telling you the consequences of your actions, which I thought was pretty cool. I actually enjoyed what I did play, though I only had 2 talented abilities as level 4 and could see that being really annoying to get into the menu at later levels when you have more abilities to choose from.

Yeah, even one of the developers said the game sucks.
