They clearly cheated and should have been disqualified.

The Bacon battle was awesome, however I think Bobby Flay owned the other guy hardcore despite the decision being a tie. Also, in the original iron chef when they had a tie there was an epic tie-breaker battle that they had to do in 30 minutes... I was disappointed that they didn't carry this on to the america iron chef.

Also, I don't know if you guys know this or not but Iron Chef America is semi-rigged in that their menu and the "secret" ingredient is given to them ahead of time so this is more or less a practical exam for them than anything else.

Still, incredibly impressive that they can pull some of this stuff off on the fly with so many things going on at once.

It's pretty obvious when both chefs start working on 5 different dishes immediately after hearing the secret ingredient.

Haha true, also they never talk to each other. I didn't want to believe it at first because I wanted to think that you could really be a super badass like this but oh well had to remind myself it is TV we're talking about here.

I don't think the Japan version was rigged though, their styles of cuisine are so traditional and they really are well-versed in so many different dishes of classic cuisine that it was possible to crank out dishes like that with a random secret ingredient.

Only show that I watch on the Food Network is Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Super badass show.

I've seen that show, it's more cultural and shit, which isn't a bad thing but triple D just has more food that I cans ee myself eating

ALLEZ CUISINE! Original Iron Chef was the most badass thing ever, especially the cabbage battle.
